The Foundation for California's Technology and Innovation Economy is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fostering meaningful dialogue between technology leaders, policymakers, educators, and innovators while investing in the next generation of California's workforce.Founded on the belief that technology should create opportunity for all Californians, the Foundation serves as a bridge between the public and private sectors, bringing together leaders from industry, government, academia, and community organizations to address the most important issues shaping our state's future. Through educational programming, policy discussions, and strategic partnerships, we help advance thoughtful solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, clean technology, climate innovation, workforce development, broadband access, and emerging technologies.Each year, the Foundation hosts the California Technology and Innovation Policy Summit, a premier gathering that convenes legislators, industry executives, entrepreneurs, educators, and policy experts to explore the challenges and opportunities created by technological advancement. These conversations help shape policies that promote innovation, economic growth, and opportunity throughout California.
 

Our Commitment to Giving Back

While innovation drives our mission, people are at the heart of everything we do.The Foundation is deeply committed to ensuring that students and educators have access to the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world. Over the years, we have proudly supported teachers, students, and underserved communities through scholarships, grants, and charitable contributions focused on expanding access to STEM education and technology training.

Our Impact Includes:

• Scholarships for students pursuing educational and career pathways in technology and innovation.

• Financial support for teachers and educators working to bring technology education into their classrooms.

• Contributions to nationally recognized organizations including Code.org and Outschool that expand access to technology learning opportunities.

• Support for Wayfinder and other programs that help students discover career pathways and build critical life skills.

• Partnerships with organizations such as DIY Girls, which empowers young women from underserved communities through coding, robotics, engineering, and hands-on STEM experiences.

• Creation of scholarship opportunities benefiting students in legislative districts throughout California.
